Music Director Kait Convery from 91.7FM The Curve had this to say about John McManus’ “613”. “613 is a collection of songs that feel familiar, like you’re listening to a friend tell you a story or a secret.” The review goes on to say, “The lyrics, paired with McManus’ voice and instrumentations, are highly reminiscent of The Weakerthans and Oasis. What I find most interesting about this album are the bits of rapping sprinkled throughout a few of the tracks – presumably to add a little flavor and flair – and a sound bite from a speech by President Obama in middle of the “Hard Hearted.” “613” produced by Paul Lewis continues to climb the charts and is available on Itunes, Amazon and select stores in the US.
