On May 28th, Singer/Songwriter/Actress Alyssa Lee Lewis will celebrate the release of her first solo CD “Leeway Freeway” at a private event in Philadelphia, PA. Simultaneously, Lewis has also begun shooting on her first feature film. The triple threat has been gaining attention for the release of singles such as “2 B Diff”, “Miss you More”, “Keep on Keepin’ On” and “Voices Carry”, a cover of the 80’s Til Tuesday hit.
Lewis, who has been performing in musical theatre productions and in venues across the US since the age of seven years old says, “This is a very exciting time for me and I am looking forward to sharing these projects with everyone.” Lewis has been steadily receiving radio support from stations in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware and “Leeway Freeway” has just been picked up by Pandora radio. Along with releasing the CD, Alyssa is shooting for the film “Spring Awakening” directed by Kurt Leitner. Alyssa was cast as the multifaceted Bohemian character Ilse in the film. “I am really excited to play this character, she has so many layers to her and it will be a challenge to portray all of the depth within her.” states Lewis.
