Mitch Allan's "Next To You" To Raise Funds For Best Buddies

Realize Records releases Mitch Allan's cover of The Police song  "Next To You". The song was recorded as part of a Police Tribute CD produced by Paul Lewis to raise money for various charities. All proceeds from the sales of the song will raise funds for the non-profit organization, Best Buddies. Allan is the former lead singer of SR-71 and currently the producer and guitarist of  Satellite. He has written hit songs for Bowling For Soup,  Faith Hill, Daughtry, Adam Lambert and most recently Produced and co-wrote with Demi Lovato, Big Time Rush and Selena Gomez. The song also features former SR-71 drummer John Allen.

Best Buddies is dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)."

The organization was established in 1989 by Anthony K. Shriver. The program is available in around 1,500 middle school, high school, and college chapters around the world. The Best Buddies program is spread across all 50 States in the US, as well as 50 other countries around the world.  Best Buddies creates Jobs, Ambassadors, and Promoters through their program, with an impact on close to 700,000 individuals living with and without disabilities. Intellectual Developmental Disabilities have been attaining rewarding jobs, the skills and capability to live successfully on one's own, and leadership skills for participants.  The program's volunteers contribute, more than $168 million USD to the program a year.  The majority of Best Buddies contributions are spent and directly applied to the enrichment of the organization’s programs. The complete annual budget shows that  just over 80% of all monetary benefaction is distributed to one of Best Buddies six program divisions.
