Concealed Iranian Band Underground Dream And Realize Records Unite To Reveal First U.S. Single

Indie Label Realize Records and Iranian Metal Band Underground Dream have joined forces in a deal that will begin with the release of their first single, "Set Me Up" off of their upcoming debut CD, "Something Not In Vain". The single is slated for Release on June 4th 2013.

"Set Me Up" showcases the chaos of everyday life in Iran. The aggressive lyrical and musical content gives a melodic insight into how that chaos translates. "The CD is a mix of early Metallica meets Nirvana. "The songs are lyrically tragic with Metal guitar grooves and a rhythm section that rivals any out there in the Metal world today." states producer Lewis. The band originally from Tehran, Iran consists of composer/lead singer Behzad Khakbaz, bassist Amirali Khosravani and drummer Ali Rad. The new CD was recorded last January 2013 with producer Paul Lewis at Paramount Recording Studios in Hollywood, CA. The band's name is in reference to the struggles they faced in Iran due to the ban on Western Music. "I don't think people here in the states fully understand the difficulties that I had to go through just to write the songs. It was a challenge to try to prepare for the recording without being able to practice or doing so in one of the underground rehearsal studios, that are literally underground" says Lead Singer Behzad Khakbaz.

In addition to their music, Underground Dream is the subject of a upcoming documentary film scheduled for release later this year. "I am excited about the partnership, they have a lot going for them and are extremely driven. It is nice to see a young band take an active part in their future instead of just waiting to be discovered like many other young bands today." says label founder, Michel Grey.

Underground Dream are currently in rehearsals for the upcoming release with plans to start touring on the East Coast in late summer. To find out more about Underground Dream and their upcoming release, tour, videos and documentary you can visit or visit her page on the Realize Records website at
